القرآنُ يُقرأ على مَهَل: النصُّ، ثم معناه، ثم جذورُ كلماته، وكلُّ عددٍ مع وحدته.

كيف صُنع هذا How this is made

  • النصُّ العربي أولاً، والترجمةُ بعده. العربيةُ تحمل من المعنى ما لا تحمله الترجمة.
    The Arabic comes first and the English follows it, never the other way round. The Arabic carries meaning that a translation flattens.
  • المعاجمُ منقولةٌ بنصّها: لِين والراغب، لا إعادةَ صياغة. وما كان من فهمي فهو مُعلَّمٌ باسمي.
    Lexicon entries are quoted verbatim from Lane and al-Rāghib, never paraphrased. Where a reading is mine, it is labelled as mine.
  • كلُّ عددٍ محسوبٌ من المدوّنة عند البناء، ومعه وحدتُه. وما لا يُقاس لا يُدَّعى.
    Every count is computed from the corpus at build time and printed with its unit. What cannot be measured is not claimed.
